Skyrim How To Limit Fps
You didn’t give much info about your set up so there a few possible ways, but there is no guarantee they will all work. Upgrade your computer. Obviously the most. Re: How can you lock a PC Game to 30FPS AND get it as smooth as consoles at 30fps? 2014/11/23 10:17:37 I know what micro stuttering is, and the articles do a great job of explaining it. But none of them offer up solutions as to how to minimize it or reduce it.
I have a monitor which tears on anything over 60 fps, and in ac4:black flag I get around 50-63 fps but most of the time over 60 fps. If I turn vsync on in ac4 it limits the framerate to 30 anytime it goes below 60 and it is unplayable. I tried turning vsync on in the nvidia control panel instead of in the game but that doesn't solve the issue. Is there anything I can do to limit my framerate to 60 instead of using something like vsync which lowers it?This is a side note but when I had this issue with dark souls I was able to change something in the dsfix ini to limit the framerate to never go above 60, is there a fix or something like this for ac4?#terribleconsoleport. ADAPTIVE VSYNC:Force this on in the NVidia Control Panel for AC4 only.It will run at 60FPS with VSYNC ON, but if the PC can't output 60FPS it will turn VSYNC OFF completely.

You'll get screen tearing with VSYNC OFF but that's unavoidable. This works fine in every game I've tried, but I don't have AC4. The NVidia setting should OVERRIDE the game setting but if it doesn't then turn off VSYNC in game, or in the INI if needed (can Google how).If you find screen tearing happens too much then you need to lower the quality settings so you stay at 60FPS more of the time. There's a difference between using the ENB fps limiter and using ENB's vsync. ENB's vsync is fine and what Adiuvo said is a valid way to limit frames. Using ENB's fps limiter doesn't work very well. I haven't had problems with it, but lots of people do.
