(MM):Redarrow is a very good player and has a very good guide with videos on it for all of those who wants to learn non DLC.Now before you rate this guide, please try it and comment on anything that you think needs changing, thankyou. Radar:In any game no matter what you are playing and with what rules unlesss you have a 20 Minute timer, its always important to build an EARILY RADAR, this is important because you can roughly see what structures they have;e.g.If you see something on a mass point, its a mass extractorIf it has another grey kite on top of the grey square, its a factory producing units. Useful ^^. Begging of the game if they rush units, build a factory and 1 pd right next to the factory, put a shield on the factory and make Tanks/Bots and some MMLs(kills structures). ACU is a powerful tool, you can use it as an offensive unit earily game. ACU Builds 200% faster than Engineers - Use this unit to make factories and research stations if possible.
Experimentals Are EXTREMELY effective, get them soon as possible, mkae sure you have some earily defence/units too to push back rushers or the Exp. Will get killed in the gantry before its release. To COUNTER ACU RUSHER, just make a factory and 2-3 PD, that will out range them, and get units and experimentals fast as you can, if not experimentals upgrade your acus your self. Cybran adapts are great, in numbers they block ACU Overcharge and give advantage to the untis under neath them, stronger than personal shield also recharges quicker, and kills air.
Great with Megaliths. UEF has the best air. Cybran are good at defense, with megasliths and bomb bouncers, monkeylords, magnetrons. Illuminate Teleport can kill UEF or Cybran experimentals teleport right next to them and target them only. DON'T TELEPORT TO A BOMB BOUNCER, one blast all units die!. Once you can defend your acu and your base, attack fast as you can, before theyget mass conversion. Try and kill there mass to slow them down, if they have mass conversion kill it as a target - upon death mass conversion strucutures act like bombs exploding and doing alot of damage.In Assassination kill acu with all units, if you can use range as an advantage, don't go in 'THIS IS SPARTA' style, and lose all your units, play it stratigically.If Cybran, get bomb bouncers and megaliths and adaptors and advance, megas are stronger than Fatboys, but FatBoy have longer range they only can pull back so far before running out of space.
And the adptors and and bomb bouncer can kill AC1000 or other air units, and bomb bouncer can also kill tanks and smaller units / structures under neath the shield with blast.Choose wisely, don't go rushing in when you can see they have a larger army or have strong defences cause you will lose, instead try and be tactical, so if they have PD counter with Exp or MMLs, if they have Exp, try and out micro with small units while getting your experimental up close and in range, or if you don't have an experimental use small units to kill it, you be suprzed how powerful tanks or bots are. Assisting is quite important in building larger units such as experimental it can decide who win or loses in a game. The way i win is starting my economy, raising my defenses, then building the mass conversion rush. During that, i build units, which i use to defend or scout.

Mid game, i prepare nukes, as well as donate shield generators and anti-nukes, to my teamates. (the anti-nukes were prepared in the defense stage. Also, helping my team is once i'm settled and stable.) then i start attacking.
Late game, i knock out the anti nukes on the opponent and retreat after i launch a nuke. This strat has helped me alot on seton's clutch. The dreadnoughts are a great experimental regarding the naval sides of the map, as well as the submarine that can make air units.
Is this a good strategy? @wjkocher i would like to agree with you on the fact the Noah Unit Cannon is indeed very strong, but the fact is that every structure/ unit has their own strenghs and weaknesses and can be countered in one way or another.But if you somehow let your enemy have the time and resources to build 5 noah unit cannons you are doing something wrong, they take a extremely long time to research even if you dont research anything but purely focus on them, and they are rather expensive and slow to build. Often its easily to kill them before they are finished building.
Posted: 5 JuneIf you expect similarity to the first game then dont buy this.Game is a lot different in many aspects.Main differences:-Your generators and extractors generates currency same as starcraft 2. It is still inexhaustible though.-You can no longer build buildings/units without sufficient funds same as starcraft 2.-You can no longer build experimental units with your engies/acu. You need to build experimental factory.-To advance in tech you need to build 'research centers' to generate research points to purchase upgrades one by one for units/buldings/acu.I tried to like this game but it just feels empty. The story is forgettable and characters bland. There isnt any reference to the first game. Experimentals feel like slightly larger normal units. Dont expect units to be big as megalith or czar from the first game.
Feels like game doesnt want you to turtle with one small shield building and only 'T1' point defense. Only real pro I see is the pathfinding AI. Units no longer get stuck in each other so that is convenient.In my opinion devs wanted to make a game like Starcraft 2 and it backfired. Fans of supreme commander 1 usually dont acknovledge this game ever happened.
